Karen Freeman, President

Karen has volunteered with the Lord and Schryver Conservancy since 2016. She started with gardening at Deepwood, then became a docent and later joined the Board as Volunteer Coordinator. She previously served as Early Childhood Director at San Marcos Lutheran Church Children’s Center in San Marcos CA (her first experience working with a Board!) and Treasurer of the Vista High School Band Boosters (first experience serving on a Board). Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University. She enjoys gardening, running, reading, and baking with chocolate.
