Gaiety Hollow is the home, garden and studio of Elizabeth Lord and Edith Schryver located at 545 Mission Street in Salem, Oregon. It is also our organization’s headquarters and home to our Archive collection.
The Lord and Schryver Conservancy purchased Gaiety Hollow in 2015 and has since restored the garden to its period of significance. The property is listed on the National Historic Register.
We host free Open Gardens on select Saturdays from April through September each year when the garden is looking its best. We also offer docent-led Group Garden Tours by appointment.
We welcome visitors to the garden on most other days – please call or email ahead of time to make sure there is not another event happening
Accessibility: Due to the historic nature of these gardens, there are some uneven surfaces and not all areas are accessible by wheelchair. Please contact us for more information on how we can accommodate your visit.
